I think about the house by the river in Epuyén when I look at images of some of the burned down houses from the fires in Patagonia.
I remember the sweet tasting nights gazing at the stars in the Patagonian sky and brave days swimming in Río de las Minas ice cold water.
I write Fernando an email hoping he and the family is safe.
I’ve not been to Epuyén for a few years but the house by the river and the town with the best alfajores, the autumn colours that forever has my heart and some of the kindest people I’ve met is not one to forget.
