A traveller’s mind

There it is, the sudden change.

The state of São Paulo has gone into lockdown and even the beach on Ilhabela will be closed.

That’s what it’s like if you want to travel during a pandemic.

Big travel plans that need to be adjusted, amended and altered last minute.

First comes the disappointment of a shattered fantasy of a tropical paradise.

And I realise how much I want to go. How much I have missed it. How much I love Brazil.

And my mind goes through all the alternatives I have until I decide to let go of trying to control the situation, force myself to make a decision.

I’ve spend more or less 15 years of my life travelling. I’ve got this. It’s out of my hands. There’s no need to stress. It will all work out.
