“Write something light”, he tells me and continues; “The world needs it. Write about a travel memory you have”, and I start going through all the journeys I have been on, trying to remember one that stands out that I haven’t already written about.
There are many stories but I’m not sure they are necessarily light, funny and entertertaining.
The ones I remember the most have been odd, adventurous, weird, and random. Unexpected and surprising. Confusing and challenging.
