Days in the Pantanal

I think when we go through difficult things it’s important to do something you really love, I say to her.

And the following days we get up at 7am for seven days in a row, listen to our downloaded Spotify songs in the speed boat and complain about the sand flies.
We spend days around Porto Jofre in the north of Pantanal going up and down the rivers looking for jaguars.

We take siestas in hot cabins on the house boat when the generator is turned off.

We sit for minutes and stare at jaguars hunting by the river bank, resting in trees and fighting and roaring so loud we forget about everything else.

We eat rice, beans and meat every evening until work is calling us back to Cuiaba.
