Best pizza I’ve ever had. Was supposed to go to Pizzeria Gino Sorbillo, but the girl at the pharmacy told me it was too far to walk and recommended me this place.
L’antica Pizzeria da Michele is on Via Cesare Sersale, about a ten minute walk from Napoli Central Station and has a mix of locals and tourists coming here. Queue was long and slightly chaotic, but as a single traveller I was easily squeezed in with an Italian couple and another lonesome diner. It could have been a double date, but there was the language barrier so we sat in silence and smiled occasionally.
A medium pizza with a drink is €6.50 and the pizza was actually so big it touched the guy’s – who was sitting next to me – pizza. Awkward.
Just to name drop – Julia Roberts has been here munching on a Margarita. It’s in Eat Pray Love.
